DOE to Host 3rd Steering Committee Meeting on U.S.-Japan Joint Nuclear Energy Action Plan
On Friday, March 19, 2010, in Arlington, Virginia, the U.S. Department of Energy will host the 3rd Steering Committee meeting on the U.S.-Japan Joint Nuclear Energy Action Plan. The plan was signed in April 2007 to increase nuclear energy cooperation between the United States and Japan.
Press is invited to attend the opening session of the meeting. Assistant Secretary for Nuclear Energy Dr. Warren “Pete” Miller, Toru Ishida, Director-General of Japan’s Agency for Natural Resources and Energy in the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, and Keiichi Hakozaki, Deputy Director-General of the Research and Development Bureau at the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan will deliver remarks.
