DOE Federal Bid Selected to Run Radiological and Environmental Sciences Laboratory (RESL)

On January 23, 2008, the Department announced a performance decision on the Radiological and Environmental Sciences Laboratory (RESL) Competitive Sourcing/A-76 Competition. The Source Selection Authority selected the Agency Tender Official's Most Efficient Organization (MEO) to manage and operate the RESL facility. It is estimated that there will be a $4.9 million savings to the government over a five year period as a result of the A-76 competition. This figure represents a reduction in costs of over 20% compared to the government's baseline.
