Nuclear Energy Research Initiative Project Review and Nuclear Energy University Programs Workshop
The Center for Advanced Energy Studies (CAES), on behalf of the Department of Energy Office of Nuclear Energy (DOE-NE), is holding a Nuclear Energy Research Initiative (NERI) project review August 11–12, 2009 and a University Programs Workshop on August 13-14, 2009. Both will be held at the Salt Lake City Hilton Hotel in Salt Lake City, Utah.
During the NERI project review the principal investigators of the current 33 NERI projects will present their project and a review panel will evaluate the projects’ continued technical merit; its progress in accomplishing its stated objectives; and its programmatic contributions. The Nuclear Energy University Programs Workshop will provide U.S. university researchers the opportunity to understand the Nuclear Energy University Programs for FY 2010; to review and discuss lessons learned from the FY2009 solicitation process; and to become familiar with the anticipated research and development priorities of the Office of Nuclear Energy programs. The pre-registration for the University Programs Workshop is available at the Web site: http://events.energetics.com/univworkshop10 Attendance is limited to the first 225 to register. All interested parties are asked to pre-register by July 24, 2009.
