Dominique Warin
Commissariat à l'Energie Atomique (French Nuclear Energy Agency)
Dr. Dominique Warin has work 25 years at several positions at French Atomic Energy Agency CEA, in the fields of nuclear fuels and back end of the fuel cycle. In January 2008, he was Director, RadioChemistry and Processes Department CEA Marcoule, Nuclear Energy Direction. He was in charge of the R&D experimental programs on existing and future fuel cycles and of the Atalante hot lab facility operations; actinide chemistry; chemistry in separation processes; fuel dissolution; chemical engineering; flow sheet process design; process modelling; chemical and radio chemistry analytical techniques.
In January 2001, Dr. Warin was the Program Manager for Nuclear Waste Management by Partitioning and Transmutation CEA Saclay, Nuclear Energy Direction. He was in charge of managing the French CEA projects on Minor Actinide Partitioning processes, Minor Actinide bearing fuel fabrication processes, transmutation data for transmutation, experimental transmutation irradiation tests in fast reactors and P and T scenario studies. He also was in charge of managing French, European and International Partitioning and Transmutation program collaborations.
In January 1999, he was Head, Service Plutonium, Uranium and Actinides CEA Cadarache, Nuclear Energy Direction. He was in charge of the R&D on nuclear fuel properties and fuel fabrication processes. In 1984, he was a Research Engineer, then Head, Nuclear Ceramics Laboratory CEA Cadarache, Nuclear Energy Direction.
In 1980 he was a Research Engineer, Argonne Nat. Lab., 1-year post thesis position on Lithium materials for electrochemical storage. Dr. Warin received his PhD in Physics and Electrochemistry from Paris VI University in 1980, his master in Business Administration from Grenoble University in 1977 and Engineering degree from National Polytechnics Institute, Grenoble in 1976
