Mr. Ashok Bhatnagar

Ashok S. Bhatnagar was named Vice President, Nuclear Fleet Technical Support for Nextera Energy effective, January 9, 2012. Mr. Bhatnagar has responsibility for leading engineering, project management, oversight of outage execution, standardization of fleet processes and organizational effectiveness initiatives.

Mr. Bhatnagar retired from the TVA on October 1, 2011. During his twelve years with TVA, Mr. Bhatnagar had various roles in the nuclear organization including the development and implementation of new nuclear generation projects, corporate support of fleet operations and leadership roles at the Browns Ferry Nuclear Plant in Athens, Alabama.

Bhatnagar has 33 years experience in the nuclear industry, with an extensive background in engineering and operations. He has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nuclear Engineering from North Carolina State University, is a graduate of the Institute of Nuclear Power Operations Senior Nuclear Plant Management Course, and earned a senior reactor operator’s license at Catawba Nuclear Station.
