Nuclear Energy Outlook Published by OECD Nuclear Energy Agency - October 2008
The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development's (OECD) Nuclear Energy Agency (NEA) has published its first Nuclear Energy Outlook, in connection with the NEA's 50th anniversary celebration. The NEA said the new publication is designed to make an important contribution to ongoing discussions of nuclear energy's potential role in the energy mixes of its member countries, including the United States. "Life Beyond 60" Workshop Summary Report Issued
The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission(NRC) jointly sponsored the Life Beyond 60: NRC/DOE Workshop on U.S. Nuclear Power Plant Life Extension Research and Development on February 19–21, 2008.
