INEPC also supports the Department of Commerce in engaging with the U.S. nuclear energy industry to increase its international competitiveness and works closely with the Department of Energy's National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA), Office of Policy and International Affairs, Office of the General Counsel and the Department of Energy’s national laboratories.  It also works directly with several other cabinet-level agencies as appropriate in order to support U.S. nuclear energy policy development and provide technical input as requested. INEPC also supports NE’s engagement with the U.S. Congress in matters relating to international cooperation and industry support.
